Do not you just love a conspiracy theory? Especially when two groups of people have pretty much the same conspiracy theory about each other?

Some people, including politicians in the US and China have both suggested that COVID 19th coronavirus (SARS-CoV2) that causes the pandemic actually be produced in the laboratory bioweapon. The only difference between their conspiracy theories who is accused of manufacturing.

In one corner a few people in the US who hinted or in some cases openly claims that China put together this virus. For example, look what Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) tweeted out back on January 30: “”

Then, Steve Mosher wrote on February 22, an opinion piece for the New York Post titled, Take a guess what Mosher writes about in his work. By the way, Mosher was not a biomedical scientist, but is president of the Population Research Institute and author of the book titled Bully Asia: Why China ‘Dream’ Is New Threat to World Order. So it is likely that he did not love the Chinese in the first place. But who knows, love works in mysterious ways.

So what evidence has been Cotton, Mosher, and others provided to support this suggestion or claim? Incriminating picture? suspicious emails? Some narcissistic awkward? Each type of scientific evidence?

Well, as Cotton choose, there just happens to be a biosafety level four (BSL-4) laboratory located in Wuhan, China, a city where the entire outbreak began. Oh, and laboratories have placed some kind of coronavirus among other pathogens. Yep, that’s the proof.

As you may know, proximity alone does not necessarily mean guilty. It would be like claiming that you fart every time there was a smell and you happen to be in the vicinity. Sure you might have a gut but that does not mean that any foul odor coming from your guts.

Plus, it’s much easier to leak air bag even though your ass from the virus of BSL-4 facilities. BSL-4 facilities maintain the highest security level among the bio-lab because they do work in dangerous, life-threatening agents such as Ebola, Lassa fever and Marburg virus. So it’s not as if the people in this lab playing throw and catch with the virus and put it into their pockets. Which will be designated as a BSL-4 laboratory should have proper ventilation system, reinforced walls, security systems, and construction to keep the things that are wrong in and things are right outside.

What is unusual it is to have a BSL-4 facilities in cities such as Wuhan, China? Not really. Already there are at least six BSL-4 facilities in the US in Atlanta, GA, Frederick, MD, Galveston, TX, Hamilton, MT, and San Antonio, TX. , Seven others may be planned, constructed, or may be completed in various cities such as Boston, MA, and Richmond, VA. The US laboratory studied and houses a variety of harmful pathogens. So once again have a lab that studies the bad pathogen does not mean that the laboratory released anything.

Not to be outdone, some in China have made the same suggestion, except that it was the US that built the virus and be released in China. Well, it’s real. For example, we look at three this tweet from Zhao Lijian, Spokesperson and Deputy Director General, Ministry of Information to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China:

Yes, the claim is that the US released the virus in China so that the US could then eventually suffer the consequences of viral spread only a few months later. Creating a whole lotta sense, except that it does not. Where exactly is real evidence that the US military created a SARS-CoV2?

Dialogue back-and-forth continued with President Donald Trump then refer to the SARS-CoV2 as “Virus China” as can be seen here:

When asked why he uses this label instead of name real science of viruses, Trump claims that it was in response to claims that the US military had created the virus. Tweet accompanying video below which shows the exchange:

Back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth.

So, it looks like the conspiracy theories on both sides have not really provide strong evidence that SARS-CoV2 produced in a laboratory, whether in the US, in China, or at Hogwarts.

In fact, there is not only a lack of evidence to support this conspiracy theory, there has been growing scientific evidence is strong against both. The scientists, you know people who are really trying to find the truth and solve the problem rather than blaming people, has conducted a genetic analysis to determine where the virus came from and how it ended up infecting humans. Although the virus is not exactly like people because they apparently do not have feelings or spread rumors, the virus has genetic material such person, unless their genetic material is not quite as complex as humans. However, like humans, the virus is still deliver such materials when they replicate and evolve. It’s not as simple as The Jerry Springer Show using a genetic test to tell if a man is someone’s father, but scientists can use a more sophisticated genetic analysis to find out the origin, “family tree” of SARS-CoV2.

Indeed, strong evidence has emerged to February 26, 2020, when a. In the piece, David M. Morens, M.D. and Peter Daszak, Ph.D. from the National Institute of Health (NIH) and Jeffery K. Taubenberger, M.D., Ph.D. writes: “Of course, the scientists said that SARS-CoV-2 did not escape from the bottle: RNA sequence is very similar to the virus that circulated secretly at bats, and has implications for epidemiologic information virus bat-origin infecting animal species not known to be sold on the market China’s live-animal. “

this is not exactly the case the same bat channel, same bat time. But first, more deadly SARS virus seems to cause the 2002-2003 outbreak after successfully jumped from bats to humans through intermediate hosts. Yes, some masked creature might accidentally partnered with the bat to bring the original SARS virus to humans. So do not be too surprised if something like that happened again to SARS-CoV2.

This illustration shows a close-up of the SARS spike protein-CoV2. (Picture: Getty)

Even more evidence from nature and not from man-made to SARS-CoV2 have emerged from. In the letter, the research team (Kristian G. Andersen of The Scripps Research Institute, Andrew Rambaut of the University of Edinburgh, W. Ian Lipkin of the Mailman School of Public Health of Columbia University, Edward C. Holmes of The University of Sydney and Robert F . Garry of Tulane University) describe how they have analyzed the genetic sequence that codes for a protein on the surface of the nail-CoV2 SARS. This virus looks like a medieval mace with some nails sticking out of its spherical shape. These spikes are not just for show as the virus uses to latch them on the cell you want to attack and then pushing their way into the cells. something very medieval.

Apparently, part of the spike protein is very effective in targeting specific receptors on human cells that are difficult for humans to imagine their manufacturing, not with existing technology known. The researchers concluded that these features and thus a new coronavirus may have most likely just evolved over time naturally. You see the man can make useful things such as ride-sharing app but still quite small compared to nature when it comes to making things like viruses.

In fact, the research team found that the structure of the SARS-CoV-2 is generally very different from what humans would tend to fabricate. If people want to make a viral weapon, he will start with the structure of the virus known to cause disease in humans. Of course, if you want to make a weapon, you might want to start with something like a grenade launcher rather than a juice maker, does not that look like a good virus. In contrast, SARS-CoV2 structure quite similar to a virus known to infect bats and pangolins.

So all further support of this theory that the virus jumped from bats to humans via several intermediate animal host. This does not mean that the virus begins to cause problems as soon as it began to infect humans. An alternative possibility is that it jumped over a long time ago and mingle among humans for a while before eventually develop into self-troublesome today. This last possibility would be somewhat analogous to inviting someone to live with you because he initially seemed relatively harmless but then over time found that the flat the couple has become terror.

The findings of genetic analysis is consistent with how SARS-CoV2 today behave. This virus does not act as a bio-weapon now. Bio-best weapon to kill at a higher level and can be easily transported and released. Imagine told that bio-weapons might take the life of 1% to 3.4% of the people who infect but you do not quite know specifically which ones. The difference between SARS-CoV2 and pathogens such as Ebola virus or anthrax is like the difference between a sofa and a group of missiles collection. Naturally, the former tin harm but not in a way that is predictable and consistent. If someone really decides to develop a SARS-CoV2 as a bio-weapon, people who need to find a new job.

So there you have it: trumping scientific evidence conspiracy theories. Scientific findings eventually will all drown “virus-made-in-a-lab-and-it-was-your-fault” rhetoric among politicians and social media? Probably not. Since when science stop the political rhetoric. Perhaps, though, it will get more people to focus on much more important things at hand: trying to control this pandemic together.
